This show brings together three unique sets exploring presence, listening, and transformation through improvisation. Nev Wendell’s intimate electro-acoustic work, developed from a private ritual, invites us to witness the personal made public, blending ambient sound with diverse textures and subtle noise. Ethan Marks presents an arrangement of VESSEL, a feedback-driven piece for trumpet, resonating objects, and fixed media, which reimagines the trumpet’s airflow and physical demands, creating a sonic loop that retells a disaster inside a secure vessel. The third set features āññā, (Anqi Liu and Han Zhang), whose fluid improvisation is shaped by deep connection, humor, and ritual, offering an ever-shifting experience of shared presence.
