Composer Jacob Wolff presents a new iteration of a solo performance for rebar. It is a negotiation of balance and movement as the performer attempts to change the pitch of the rebar.
Placeholder Trio (Margo Harms, Daniel Newman-Lessler, Eric Lennartson) perform a site-specific hour long piece called "in the belly" for upright piano, bells, and a water tank. The roughly hour-long piece consists of broken ostinatos on the piano in the center of the space with bells scraping up and down along all 14 pillars of the tank in a slow clockwork motion. There will also be a community trash pick up opportunity with garbage bags and gloves provided. Audience members are invited to pick up some of the trash with us after the performance to dispose of in an effort to celebrate the beauty of the tank!
