"Slow, Silent, Singing", a concert length work (ca. 70 minutes long) for solo glockenspiel by LA-based composer Kevin Good. The piece juxtaposes the song-like quality of the instrument with increasingly vast swathes of silence, and serves as an examination of this silence as a form of musical "distance." The intended effect is one of increasing perception of space, but always a continued connection of material across ever vaster distances.
